Visiting Student Agreement Signed between CUHK-Shenzhen and KFUPM
In March 2025, CUHK-Shenzhen signed a university-wide visiting student agreement with King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in Saudi Arabia. It marks the university's first international collaboration program offering students a comprehensive overseas learning experience that combines course-taking, research, and internship opportunities.
Starting from the 2026-2027 academic year, CUHK-Shenzhen will annually select two third-year or fourth-year undergraduate students to participate in a one-semester visiting program at KFUPM. During the program, students will engage in academic coursework and have the opportunity to complete an 8-week internship at Saudi Aramco, the world's largest oil and gas company. The internship will be scheduled after the spring semester concludes, based on mutual matching. Additionally, students may apply for KFUPM's summer research program to further extend their overseas study experience. Participating CUHK-Shenzhen students will benefit from waived tuition and accommodation fees at KFUPM, along with monthly living stipends.
Established in 1963, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) is a leading public university in Saudi Arabia.
