My study abroad experience in Melbourne was transformative, a period of academic and personal growth. The most rewarding aspect was the broadening of my academic horizons through unique courses and exposure to diverse perspectives. The cultural immersion, adapting to a new environment, and forming connections beyond my home country were invaluable. This journey taught me adaptability, resilience, and fostered a deep appreciation for global perspectives. For students preparing to study abroad, particularly in my program, I would recommend arranging for a local SIM card and bank account as soon as you arrive. Having these will significantly simplify your daily life. Carrying a credit card can also be convenient for emergencies. Choosing accommodation where many students live can make your experience more enriching, as it provides an immediate community and the chance to engage in various activities. Always be conscious of your safety, adhere to local rules, and respect cultural norms. Lastly, remember to budget wisely to manage the costs of the program and living expenses.
